AIA Exhibition Requirements & Fees:

The purpose of the AIA project is to provide Legislative and public exposure for the humanity, dignity and the many contributions to America of the subjects of the series, older Americans.   Ultimately the project's success will be determined by the amount and quality of the exposure generated during the life of the project. 

Exposure is achieved though Exhibitions of the Aging in America original drawings and the media coverage generated by these events.  For this reason,   exhibitions of the original drawings are available to any company, organization or association (for-profit or not-for-profit) dealing with the concerns of older Americans.

Exhibition requirements are as follows:

Space Requirements:

3 Display Panel Sizes:

24 Original Drawings

(4)Display Panels 72"  
When Connected at 90° Angles, Makes
(2) Displays

(2)Display Panels 60"
When Connected at 90° Angles, Makes
(1) Display

Minimum Display Area Requirements:
10ft. X 30Fft.
Preferred Display Area:
20ft. X 30ft.

 

Table & Chairs:

(1) Table
Skirted to Allow Storage of Brochures & other Materials Beneath Table.

(2) Chairs
For Artist & Assistant.

Lighting:

For the best presentation, consideration should be given to proper illumination of the display area.

Security:

The combined value of the Original Drawings exceeds $250,000.  The Original drawings, while in the possession of the Artist, are the property of the Original Sponsors. Security is required for the original drawings each night if display is not set up in secure location:
If security is not available, a secure location to place the original drawings each night is required:

Assistance:

Due to physical limitations of Artist, assistance is required to unload, set-up, take-down and reload original art work.
If required for security, additional assistance is required each night to take down and place art work in secure location.

EXHIBITION COSTS:

Travel Expenses: (Required for Sponsor & Non-Sponsor Exhibitions)

Travel expenses include Fuel, Lodging & meals from Tulsa, Oklahoma to exhibition site and the return trip.   Average transportation expenses for artist and assistant is $150 per day.   Average travel distance per day is 600 miles.  Travel time can be estimated by determining the distance of the exhibition from Tulsa, Oklahoma and dividing the distance by 600 miles; add the number of days of the exhibition and multiply by $150.

Exhibition Fees:

A per diem fee is required to compensate artist for time away from the studio and the salary of assistant.   Exhibition Fees are divided into two catagories as follows:

                                                AIA Project Sponsors and Non-Sponsors:

Per Diem is assessed from the time leaving Tulsa, OK to time returned plus two (2) days (loading & unloading). Partial days are counted as a full day.

AIA Project Sponsors:

Sponsors of the AIA project are assessed at $250 per diem.

Non-Sponsors:

The per diem fees for non-sponors of the AIA project is $350.

Scheduling:

Exhibitions are scheduled no less than 90 days in advance. Sponsors of the AIA project are given priority in scheduling.
