Association 1998 Convention Exhibition: August 10 -14, 1998
Coronado Springs Resort, Orlando, Florida.

The Coronado Springs Resort exhibition was the third Florida
exhibition of the AIA original drawings sponsored by the Florida Health Care
Association. The art work was exhibited in the convention area of the resort and was
visited by many FHCA members as well as Coronado Springs Resort guests. Being
Disney's newest resort in Orlando, the accommodations were excellent and the
visitors to the exhibition almost continuous from the opening to closing.
Disney Exhibition:
While at the Coronado Springs Resort, a number of Disney employees in executive positions questioned me about extending my stay for two weeks. The discussions then developed into extending the event to a full month in early 1999. Gerry Baker is creating an educational program for Disney cast members and employees and will focus on the special needs of the elderly and other realities of aging. I will remain with the art exhibit and talk about the models and the AIA project to park visitors. We are continuing discussions with Disney Corp. I'll keep you posted on the progress of the talks and the date of the exhibition once it has been established.
1998 NASL Annual Meeting Exhibition: September 16 - 18, 1998
Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, Nevada
Peter Clendenin, Executive Vice President, National Association for the Support of Long
Term Care, has extended an invitation to sponsor an exhibition the original drawings
at the 1998 NASL Annual Meeting. The association's members provide the goods and
services required to operate all levels of long term care health facilities and hospitals
throughout the nation. This marks my first opportunity to directly expose the
original art work to the leaders of this important segment of the long term care field and
seek their support for the AIA project.
AHCA 49th Annual Convention & Exposition: October 20 -
22, 1998
Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana
This was the fifth American Health Care Association Convention & Exposition the AIA project has been invited to attend as a guest of the AHCA. I was honored to attend and meet with AHCA leaders and thousands of care providers from throughout the country. It was an opportunity to meet many of my sponsors and friends made since exhibiting at my first AHCA Convention in San Francisco in 1992.
