Through my friendship with Waylon, I have met many country music stars. Some have become friends, others were just entertainers I met one or more times. Johnny Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, are among those I consider friends. The photo above shows me with Johnny Cash on Waylon's bus during a break in filming of the TV movie "Stagecoach" at Old Tucson, Arizona. Johnny is holding my book entitled, "Drawing for Life" which Waylon & Jessi had given to him as a gift. The photograph below shows Johnny Cash examining the bronze casting of "Reflections," my third bronze. The fellow in the background is Chet Walker, a friend from Scottsdale who accompanied me to Old Tucson. |
