As I create a drawing, I keep a note pad on the table to write
down my thoughts about the subject or subjects. These thoughts come to mind without
effort or conscious direction. When the drawing is complete, the disjointed
collection of thoughts are organized into a commentary about the model or models.
Although these "Commentaries" contain historical dates or statements of fact on
the lives of my model(s), I do not call them "Model Histories." The lives
of my models can not be reduced to the space available for each drawing in an 8 1/2'' by
11'' inch brochure. My "commentary" is included with each drawing on this
site. Other than editing grammatical errors, the initial thoughts are left as
originally recorded at the completion of each drawing.
Post Scripts
are added to update information learned
about a model after writing the original text.
